Welcome to the Apologetics forum
#1
Some people don't like the word 'apologetics' because they think it sounds as if we're 'apologising for' what we believe, as if we're saying, "I'm sorry to have to confess it, but this is what I believe".

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Apologetics is about explaining what we believe and why we believe it to those who don't agree with us, in the hope that they will at least come to an understanding of our position, and at best come to the point of agreement, where they can say, "Yes, I get it!"

The difference between preaching and apologetics is that preaching addresses the heart whereas apologetics addresses the mind.  Both are necessary, and each has its place and its audience.

I suspect that in the culture in which we live, most of those who are unbelievers are to be found somewhere along the agnostic/atheist spectrum.  For that reason, most of the articles in this section are written with that audience in mind.

I would be interested to see what sort of response I get to these articles, so if you have any comments or questions, please chip in.
You too can be TAUGHT BY GOD
