In the liberal democracies, Christian households probably have many copies of the Bible in different translations, and maybe even different languages.  However, in other countries there may be a single Bible in an entire village, or no Bibles at all, because they are banned by the government.  For these people, owning a Bible, or even being able to borrow one, is a dream that may never come true.  

Those of us who do have access to this life-changing book need to appreciate and value what we have, and do what we can to help those who have no such access.  Organisations such as Bible Society, Open Doors, and Back to Jerusalem do what they can to provide and distribute the Bible.
